This bathroom was so fun to brighten up. I kept the location of the sconces over the sink but added an overhead LED recessed can light for extra lighting. The sconces were updated to a polished nickel finish, white shaded traditional light fixture and the mirror was replaced with a white framed medicine cabinet for extra storage.
The cabinets were replaced with Shaker style doors and polished nickel hardware. The countertop is a classic black granite. A tiled wainscot was added in grey with a white pencil edge separating it from the white subway tile on the top half of the shower. The tub was also replaced with a wider, deeper Kohler Archer version. The niches were added for shampoo storage and the shower head was replaced with polished nickel, Moen brand Weymouth collection. The best feature of this room is definitely the floor tile. It gives the other traditional selections a pop to bring it into the 21st century! The walls were painted a light Sherwin Williams color Pediment SW 7634.
